Where does this guidance apply?
The geographical remit of the guidance depends on the partner organisation that has produced the content piece. While some content pieces are specifically tailored for England due to the core remit of the relevant partner organisation, others may have broader applicability across the UK. We have provided labelling on each content piece to indicate which area of the UK the guidance piece applies to.
About us
This website was created to support development and use of AI and data-driven technologies in health and social care.
It is a collaboration between 4 organisations. These are the organisations and what we do:
- the Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and social care in England
- the Health Research Authority (HRA) protects and promotes the interests of patients and the public in health and social care research
- the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) regulates medical devices in the UK
- the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) provides guidance and advice to improve health and social care
We also work closely with the NHS Innovation Service.
This project is funded by the NHS AI Lab.
